Website of the Week: House Curious
Aesthetics. Aesthetics. Aesthetics. I love coming across things that make me feel at one with life. Those things that give you that ahhh kind of feeling. Like ticking everything off of your ‘to do list’… taking a nap… peeling PVA glue off your hands… a cold beer after a Titanic of a day… catch my drift? Well, I stumbled across something that gave me all the feels. House Curious is a London based property owned by Sommer Pyne. This Lady partnered up with local designers, makers and artisans to make this house so f’ing cool. In House Curious you can do cooking workshops, photography, interior and food styling, wine and cheese tasting, craft nights, wellness days… the list is endless my friends. It. Is. Awesome.

Pyne’s house itself features a lot of furniture from MADE, which is an amazing store that has some b-e-a-u-tiful homeware. It’s got that clean, high-end “look” going on. It’s also UK based – REPRESENT.
House Curious also has a website that really caught my eye. It sells some amazing homeware and beauty products such as body scrubs and oils, hanging chairs, industrial lights, brass and gold dinnerware and table sets… swoooon. It is all fairly minimalist in style, but elegant and trendy in design.
I don’t know about you, but I love thinking about what my house will look like in the future. The interior and exterior… where in the world it will be… it’s all a bit exciting isn’t it really. I find myself scrolling through Pinterest on the daily thinking ‘AH YES, I could live in that French Chateau, that’s a bit of me. Maybe add in a pool over there… tennis courts… that could work. Get Kit Kemp to reupholster those chairs, import that light from Morocco…”
ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES. ENDLESS.
So discovering independent businesses like House Curious gets me even more excited and enthusiastic about the future. Who knows, maybe I’ll have their cotton plant hangers in the conservatory of my French Chateau… i’ll keep you posted.
